The Battle with Hydrapple
While searching for Navi, the team stumbles upon the Giant Tree of Kitakami, where the festival offerings have been devoured and the traditional masks destroyed. They are unexpectedly ambushed by a Hydrapple, a rare Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon made of syrup with seven wyrms living inside. Hydrapple traps them with its Supersweet Syrup ability, forcing Meowscarada, Quaquaval, Skeledirge, and Sableye into a chaotic battle against the awakened wyrms. Just when things look grim, Navi arrives and executes a brilliant strategy. He commands Ditto to transform into one of Hydrapple’s wyrms, severely confusing the Pokémon and causing its heads to fight amongst themselves! The Truth About Ogerpon
With Hydrapple distracted, it is revealed that the Pokémon was simply angry and hungry because it didn’t get any of the offerings. Furthermore, Dot notices that its footprints don’t match the ones at the scene, meaning the real thief is still out there! Carmine then arrives and reveals the true identity of the masked child Navi befriended: Ogerpon. Once feared as a mountain ogre by the villagers, Ogerpon is actually a kind and gentle Pokémon. The episode wraps up with Carmine excitedly challenging Navi to festival games, leaving the mystery of the true offering thief to be solved another day.Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
